Who’s your favorite garden pest? As much as you “love” them, how do you get rid of them?
Here are a few suggestions:
ANTS – sprinkle boric acid crystals where they congregate.
SLUGS, SNAILS, and EARWIGS – sprinkle coffee grounds, pine needles, or crushed eggshells around plants.
BLACK SPOT and MILDEW – mix together 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 1 teaspoon of dish soap, and 1 gallon of water. Spray the mixture on roses, lilacs, and other flowers. Repeat every 10 days.
FRUIT-TREE-LOVING INSECTS – Spray neem seed oil all over fruit trees, roses, vegetables, and ornamental shrubs. It is also effective against fungal diseases.
